PERILAKU KELUARGA PASIEN TENTANG PENCEGAHAN INFEKSI NOSOKOMIAL PADA RUANG RAWAT INAP DI RSUD KOTA PADANGSIDIMPUAN

Nosocomial infection is an infection that occurs within 3x24 hours after the patient's admission to the hospital and not from a previous infection. This study was a descriptive survey conducted to visitors of patients who were treated in class II and class III rooms, with 71 samples. Primary data from this study was obtained by interview using a questionnaire describing knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding the prevention of nosocomial infections in hospitals. The data taken were then processed, analyzed, and presented in frequent table distribution. The results of this study reported that the knowledge stage of the response was in the lower category containing 54 people (76.1%), the attitude of the response was in the top category containing 43 people (60.56%), and the practice of the response was in the middle category containing 41 people (57.75%).
