Penyuluhan Kesehatan Tentang Penyakit Reumatik Pada Lansia Di Desa Muara Purba Nauli Kecamatan Angkola Muaratais

Abstract

Rheumatism is a disease that attacks joints and supporting structures or tissues around the joints. Rheumatic diseases that are often found are osteoarthritis due to degeneration or aging, rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease, and gout due to high uric acid. In the elderly, this disease often occurs so that it sometimes causes disruption to the quality of life in the elderly. Rheumatic disease can be prevented and health care can also be provided. This counseling aims to increase awareness of the residents of Muara Purba Nauli Village, Angkola Muaratais District, about rheumatic disease. The counseling team was carried out by students of Aufa Royhan University who were on Real Work Lectures (KKN). The counseling method was carried out using the lecture method and showing Powerpoint to residents. The results of this counseling were an increase in the knowledge of the elderly about what rheumatism is, its prevention and treatment.
