Penyuluhan Kesehatan Cara Menyikat Gigi Yang Baik Dan Benar Pada Anak Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
In Indonesia, dental and oral care is not considered important, and people often ignore dental problems if they do not affect their daily activities. Teaching proper tooth brushing techniques to school-age children can reduce the possibility of cavities and help form good habits that children will carry into adulthood. The purpose of this activity is to increase students' knowledge and understanding of dental and oral health and improve children's skills in brushing their teeth properly. Based on interviews with teachers, problems were found including lack of knowledge about dental and oral health, lack of information about how to brush teeth and lack of skills in brushing teeth properly. From these problems, activities were carried out consisting of education about dental and oral health, demonstrations of how to brush teeth properly and assistance to students in brushing their teeth. The program provided education on dental and oral health and how to brush teeth properly in Bargot Topong Village. The results of the activities during the assistance showed that the tooth brushing skills of elementary school children also increased. This activity should be carried out routinely on a regular basis with a wider target so that it can help reduce the incidence of tooth decay and improve the quality of life of each individual
