Efektivitas Edukasi Pencegahan Terhadap Pengertahuan HIV/AIDS Pada Remaja Desa Pangaribuan
Abstract
HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the human immune system (Oktafirnanda et al., 2024). Symptoms of HIV infection cause various serious conditions, which are caused by decreased immunity due to decreased general systems. HIV infection progresses progressively in damaging the immune system, so that infections caused by fungi, parasites, bacteria, or viruses cannot be resisted by the sufferer's body, a person who has been infected with HIV may not show symptoms of illness, but can infect others. Adolescence is an age that is often considered vulnerable to infection due to lack of knowledge about the dangers of HIV / AIDS. Hormonal changes in late adolescence will increase sexual desire. The tendency to violate or deviate sexual behavior will increase due to the spread of information through the mass media. Adolescent socialization will increase and it cannot be denied that the tendency of socialization between men and women at that age will increase the risk of deviant sexual behavior. This education aims to provide information to increase knowledge about preventing HIV / AIDS in adolescents.
