Abstract

Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) are plants cultivated by families in their home gardens and used as traditional medicine to treat minor health problems. This community service program aims to increase public knowledge about the use of TOGA and encourage the cultivation of TOGA in home gardens. The activity was carried out with the primary target being the residents of Muara Tais 1 Village. The community service initiative was conducted in Muara Tais 1 Village, Angkola Muara Tais Sub-district. This type of community service involves health promotion through providing information about TOGA and direct planting of TOGA plant seedlings. The visible outcome of this activity is that the majority of the community now understands the explanation of TOGA and the benefits of planting TOGA. All participants in the activity stated that this community service was very beneficial as it enhanced their knowledge in utilizing TOGA in their daily lives.
