. According to the 2017 World Health Organization (WHO) the prevalence of women who died during pregnancy and childbirth is around 529,000.. This is due to the emotional state of the mother during pregnancy and when facing childbirth. Pregnancy is a period of crisis in which the mother is often worried or afraid of the pain and physical danger that comes with giving birth. This causes bleeding in pregnant women during labor. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of religious music therapy on reducing the anxiety of pregnant women in Purbatua Village, Padangsidimpuan Southeast Health District. The research used was a quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental) using the Pretest posttest only research design. The research location was in Purbatua Village, District. The study population was 6 pregnant women, the study sample was 6 people. Data analysis using Univariate Analysis and Bivariate Analysis. The results showed that there was a decrease in the anxiety of pregnant women and the average anxiety score of pregnant women before religious music therapy was 35 33 and after religious music therapy there was a decrease in anxiety with an average of 25.83. The p-value is 0.001, meaning that there is an effect of music therapy on reducing anxiety. The implication of this study is that giving religious music therapy can reduce anxiety in pregnant women when facing their delivery. It is hoped that the results of this study will become a reference for D3 Midwifery students in serving the community.
