Abstract

Indonesia has many herbal plants that have benefits for maintaining body health. Traditional medicine that has been carried out by our ancestors has been passed down from generation to generation. In addition to conventional medicine, traditional medicine can also be used as a treatment ingredient. Currently, people have widely used traditional medicine as a cure for various diseases because it is very easy to obtain and easy to process. Plants that play an important role in healing bruises, swelling and sprains are kencur (Kaempferia galanga L), which is used for parem ingredients is the rhizome part. Other ingredients used to make parem preparations are rice, lemongrass. Rice is efficacious for eliminating heat in bruises, lemongrass is efficacious for reducing inflammation of the skin. The method used is hereditary and by taking several previous research journals. The process of making this parem is by mixing all the ingredients that have been ground into one container until a dough is formed, then the dough is formed using a mold. The results of organoleptic testing of the parem produced for a week showed that there were no significant changes including shape, color, odor or fungal growth. In this parem making counseling, young women in SITAMPASIMATORAS Village succeeded in making preparations in the form of parem preparations. Parem preparations have been proven to accelerate the healing of wounds on the skin.
