The issue of textile waste continues to rise in line with the growth of the clothing industry and household activities that generate fabric scraps. In Bintuju Subdistrict, textile waste has not been optimally managed and is mostly discarded or burned, which poses a risk to the environment. This community assistance program aims to raise public awareness and provide practical skills in processing textile waste into valuable handicraft products, particularly brooches. The implementation method used a participatory approach involving socialization, technical training, and evaluation. The results showed that the community was able to transform textile waste into creatively designed, marketable brooches, while also improving their understanding of sustainable waste management. In addition to its positive environmental impact, this program also created opportunities for community-based creative economic development. This community empowerment initiative demonstrates that with appropriate training, residents can be empowered to manage textile waste independently and productively.
