Abstract

In 2019 the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in padangsidimpuan city was 43.2% (profile of the padangsidimpuan city health office, 2019. From this study, it was shown that only 41% of all babies in the world were exclusively breastfed, and who targets that by 2025 the number of breastfeeding is exclusive breastfeeding increased by at least 50% the purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of mothers who have babies 0-6 months about exclusive breastfeeding in manegen village, southeast padangsidimpuan district in 2022. This research was conducted using a descriptive method using a total sampling of 30 respondents, studied based on age, education , occupation, source of information, and parity.the results showed that the majority of respondents who had less knowledge were 20 respondents (66.7%), the majority of respondents were less knowledgeable aged 20-40 years were 18 respondents (60.0%). Have a high school education/equivalent as many as 15 respondents (50.0%), may the majority of respondents with knowledge of the lack of irt work were 19 respondents (63.3%), the majority of respondents had knowledge of multipara as many as 8 respondents (26.7%), the majority of respondents with knowledge lacked sources of information from health workers as many as 10 respondents (33.3%). . Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the majority of knowledge of mothers who have babies 0-6 months about exclusive breastfeeding is still lacking, so it is hoped that pregnant women will increase their knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding.
