PENYULUHAN BIJAK MENGGUNAKAN ANTIBIOTIK KEPADA MASYARAKAT DESA PASAR LAMA KECAMATAN BATANG ANGKOLA

Abstract

Antibiotics are one of the great achievements in the world of medicine that have saved millions of lives from the threat of bacterial infections. However, over time, the inappropriate and excessive use of antibiotics has actually caused a new problem, namely antibiotic resistance. This counseling aims to inform the public to be wise in using antibiotics. This counseling was held at the village head's office coinciding with the elderly health post event in Pasar Lama Village, Batang Angkola District. The target of this activity was carried out to the community who attended the elderly health post. This activity was carried out by providing a presentation of material on the wise use of antibiotics using the lecture method. After the counseling, the community became knowledgeable about the use of antibiotics. The increase in public knowledge after this counseling showed good results in the use of antibiotics. With the counseling, the use of antibiotics can prevent the occurrence of resistance problems. To realize the level of public health, integrated and comprehensive health efforts are carried out in the form of individual health efforts and public health efforts.
