PENGETAHUAN IBU NIFAS TENTANG BREAST CARE DI KELURAHAN PIJORKOLING KECAMATAN PADANGSIDIMPUAN TENGGARA TAHUN 2023

Breast Care for postpartum mothers is breast care performed on postpartum/postpartum mothers with the aim of improving blood circulation and preventing blockage of the milk ducts. According to WHO estimates the incidence of mastitis in breastfeeding mothers is around 2.6% -3.3%9 and the global prevalence is around 10%. The purpose of this study was to find out the Knowledge of Postpartum Mothers About Breast Care in Pijorkoling Village, Padangsidimpuan Tenggara District in 2023. The benefits of this research increase knowledge as well as valuable experience for researchers. This research is descriptive using a total sampling of 25 respondents, researched based on age, education, occupation, parity, source of information. The results of the study the majority of respondents with less knowledge 20 (80%), the majority of less knowledgeable aged 20-40 years 10 (40%). The majority had less knowledge with high school/equivalent education 14 (56%), the majority had less knowledge with housework 12 (48%), the majority had less knowledge with primipara parity 7 (28%), the majority had less knowledge with sources of information from electronic media 9 (36 %). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the majority of mothers' knowledge was still lacking, so it was expected to increase knowledge through print media, electronics and health workers.
