Abstract

 Labor gentle birth can reduce anxiety because it can stimulate endorphins which are naturally produced by the body where endorphins are the best pain relievers and can reduce stress and boost the immune system. According to UNICEF in 2019, 395,000 deliveries occurred worldwide. Nearly half of these births are estimated to have come from 8 countries around the world, namely, India, China, Nigeria, Indonesia, the United States. This study used a descriptive method, using accidental sampling of 25 respondents. Data collection used an interview questionnaire. The results of the study revealed that 19 respondents who had less knowledge (76%) the majority of respondents who had less knowledge aged 20-39 were 13 respondents (52%).the majority of respondents who lack knowledge of high school education 17 respondents (68%). The majority have less knowledge of IRT 12 respondents (48%). The majority of respondents have less knowledge of primipara 12 respondents (48%). The majority of respondents have less knowledge of electronic media 11 (32%). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the majority of pregnant women's knowledge about gentle birth is still lacking. So it is hoped that pregnant women will increase their knowledge about gentle birth through health workers, electronic media, and print media. Suggestions to incerease the knowledge of pregnant women about gentle birth and can add insight for researchers.
